Address
100 Queen St, Fort Erie
The Buffalo-Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority in partnership with the Town of Fort Erie, Fort Erie Museum Services and the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre have produced this gallery as the centrepiece of the lobby of the Peace Bridge Administration Building. The Mewinzha Gallery and Interpretive Centre honours the First Peoples who lived, traded and created a flint-knapping industry on the site surrounding the present-day Peace Bridge. This gallery features archaeological artifacts from the Peace Bridge Site alongside contemporary Native artwork. Mewinzha is located at 100 Queen Street, Fort Erie and open Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm.
